How to help

Maintaining a diverse funding base is critical to preserving ICG's political independence and credibility. With this in mind the organisation is constantly seeking new donors willing to provide financial support.

While the bulk of ICG's income comes from a diversity of governments and foundations, we are keen to expand the number of individual and corporate donors supporting the organisation. In this context, ICG has recently launched two new initiatives designed to attract this support.

Individual and Corporate Membership - Benefits:

International Advisory Board member ($25,000 and above annually)

  • Members are invited to join the ICG Board of Trustees as observers at the twice-yearly meetings to engage with Trustees and learn more about ICG's projects and plans. For Corporate members, membership is for a designated individual of the company.
  • Private policy briefings by visiting experts from ICG field offices. For Corporate members private policy briefings will be provided to company’s executives and guests.
  • Direct access to ICG staff and analysts.
  • Priority and complimentary invitations to ICG fundraising and promotional events.
  • Complimentary invitations to ICG's roundtable dinner discussions.
  • Opportunity  to participate in country visits  led by ICG senior staff and Board members meeting with high-level government officials, opposition and community leaders and journalists. Trips are 5-7 days and participation is limited to maximise ease of travel and full participation in meetings.
  • Priority consideration for sponsorship of ICG events worldwide.
  • Entitlement to all ICG reports, briefing papers, press releases and annual reports;  or Corporate members,  for up to 10 designated individuals of the company.
  • Recognition as an International Advisory Board member in ICG's Annual Report and other materials.


Patron ($10,000 - $24,999 annually)

  • Up to three private briefings by visiting ICG staff.
  • Priority invitations to public and private policy briefings by visiting ICG staff and Board members.
  • Complimentary invitations to ICG fundraising and promotional events.
  • Invitations to ICG's roundtable dinner discussions.
  • Entitlement to all ICG reports, briefing papers, press releases and annual reports. For Corporate members, entitlement is for up to 5 designated individuals of the company.
  • Recognition as a Patron in ICG's Annual Report and other materials.

 

Contributor ($5,000 - $9,999 annually)

  • Invitations to public policy briefings by visiting ICG staff and Board members.
  • Invitations to ICG fundraising and promotional events.
  • Advance email notification of reports, briefing papers, and press releases.
  • Recognition as a Contributor in ICG's Annual Report and other materials.


Donor (Up to $4,999 annually)

  • Advance e-mail notification of reports, briefing papers, and press releases.
  • Recognition as a Donor in ICG's Annual Report and other materials


Individual and Corporate members have the option of supporting the International Crisis Group on an annual or multiyear basis. Those offering support for three years or more are automatically upgraded to the next level of membership.

Please note that, in the United States, all donations to ICG are fully tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
