Brcko Arbitration
A decision on the disputed northern Bosnian town of Brcko was reached by international arbitration in March 1999, eliminating a source of ongoing tension in intra-Bosnian politics and establishing joint ownership of the district by Bosnia's two entities and the federal government. ICG contributed to the resolution of the Brcko dispute through a number of widely circulated policy reports.
